Wandelweiser Sommerakademie

Earlier this year I attended the Wandelweiser Sommerakademie, hosted by Antoine Beuger at the Kunstraum Düsseldorf (11-17 July, 2008). Among many premiere performances I was involved in were three string quartets by Thomas Stiegler, Dante Oei and Samuel Vriezen, with some wonderul players, violinist Marc Sabat, violist Julia Eckhardt and cellist Stefan Thut.

This is a recording of Vriezen's Between Chords, which the composer describes as "a string quartet of chords that are never quite there."
